second phase teaching practice -day 8

 On 25th October, there was no school assembly. I had regular teaching periods in Class 9N and Class 8H. I also handled substitution duties for Class 8F during the 2nd period, Class 9F during the 3rd period, and Class 8D during the 6th period.

I was assigned Kalolsavam practice duty and participated in the mid-day meal programme. During the teaching periods, I taught the topic “Health of the Kidney” from the chapter “Respiration and Excretion” in Class 9N, and “Meristematic Tissue” from the chapter “Cell and Cell Clusters” in Class 8H

 August 13 I reached school on time, signed the attendance register, and went to the allotted room. Classes began after the prayer. A Scout and Guide selection test was conducted for 8th standard students, providing an opportunity to identify students with leadership qualities and a spirit of service. A quiz competition was organized under the “അക്ഷര തണൽ” Library, which encouraged students to enhance their knowledge and reading interest. An awareness (sensitization) program was conducted for Class 8D on the overuse of social media, helping students understand its effects and the importance of responsible usage.  July 26 I reached school on time, signed the attendance register, and went to the allotted room. As it was a Saturday, there was no morning assembly, and classes began after the prayer. I was assigned Mid Day Meal duty, which helped me understand the importance of teachers’ involvement in student welfare and school administration. During the fourth period, I took a class for 8B on the topic “വളങ്ങൾ” from the chapter “നട്ടു നനയ്ക്കാം നന്മകൾ കൊയ്യാം”. Students actively participated and showed interest in learning about the role of fertilizers in improving crop yield. In the seventh period, I again taught Class 8B, covering the topic “വിളവിന് മേന്മ ഉള്ള നടീൽവസ്തുക്കൾ” from the same chapter. The lesson helped students understand the importance of quality planting materials for better agricultural productivity. Overall, the day was productive and contributed positively to my teaching experience.
