SECOND PHASE TEACHING PRACTICE-day1

October 14

Today was a meaningful and positive beginning to my teaching practice. We reached the school by 9:15 a.m., visited the headmaster’s office, received instructions for the day, and signed the attendance register. Meeting the Headmaster and interacting with my biology guides helped me understand the academic expectations and discipline of the institution. Though I had only one assigned class in the last period and a substitution duty in 8th standard, these experiences gave me confidence in classroom handling. When my assigned class was changed from 8G to 8H, I interacted with new students through general learning activities and observed their classroom atmosphere. I also participated in maintaining discipline during the eye testing camp conducted by Sankar's Eye Hospital, which helped me understand the importance of student welfare activities in schools. Teaching the unit Respiration and Excretion, especially the topic Urea Synthesis, enhanced my subject confidence and teaching skills. Overall, the day was well-organized, informative, and motivating, making it a nice and encouraging beginning to my teaching practice.
