School based activity - Hiroshima day quiz

School based activity

As part of the B.Ed curriculum in the third semester, we were required to conduct a school-based activity. For this purpose, sixteen student-teachers from Jamia Training College were divided into two groups of eight members each. I was included in the second group.

Our group organized a Hiroshima Day Quiz on 5th August. On the previous day, we informed the HMband other teachers about the quiz questions and received proper guidance. The competition was first conducted at the class level, and the selected students then participated in the school-level quiz competition. After several rounds of competition, the winners were selected. The first prize was awarded to Abhiram(8N), the second prize went to Shifa (8L) and Abhirami (8M), and the third prize was secured by Abhishek (8L).

The program was conducted smoothly and successfully. It not only gave us valuable experience in planning and organizing school activities but also created an engaging learning atmosphere for the students.

Celebrating Hiroshima Day holds great significance. It reminds us of the devastating consequences of nuclear war and spreads the message of peace, harmony, and non-violence. Observing this day helps students understand the value of human life, the importance of global peace, and the responsibility we hold in preventing such tragedies in the future.

The activity was thus meaningful, educational, and successful in achieving its objectives.
