Third week of teaching practice The third week of my teaching practice was from 4th to 8th August. As usual, the school day began at 9:30 a.m. I reached the school on time, signed the register, and reported to the prescribed office classroom. On 4th August, I had a class in the third period in 9 N and actively engaged with the students. On 5th August, I was assigned a no class. On the same day, we conducted a school-based activity in connection with Hiroshima Day. A quiz competition was organized, first at the class level under the guidance of the class teachers. As part of the field curriculum, two observation classes were conducted during this phase. The first was the general observation class, held on 1st August during the 5th period in 8B. The second was the optional observation class, which took place on 7th August during the 4th period, also in 8B. On the day of the optional observation, the Renjini teacher reached the school early in the morning. The observation began with the class of my peer, Hari, and was followed by my session. I handled the topic “Contributions of Scientists in the Field of Chemical Evolution Theory.” The students participated actively, maintained discipline, and showed interest throughout the session. School based activity As part of the B.Ed curriculum in the third semester, we were required to conduct a school-based activity. For this purpose, sixteen student-teachers from Jamia Training College were divided into two groups of eight members each. I was included in the second group. Our group organized a Hiroshima Day Quiz on 5th August. On the previous day, we informed the HMband other teachers about the quiz questions and received proper guidance. The competition was first conducted at the class level, and the selected students then participated in the school-level quiz competition. After several rounds of competition, the winners were selected. The first prize was awarded to Abhiram(8N), the second prize went to Shifa (8L) and Abhirami (8M), and the third prize was secured by Abhishek (8L).
